Occurrence

This terpene may be found primarily in the orange blossom (neroli, from which the name derives), but also in ginger, hemp, jasmine, and lavender.

Medicinal properties

Nerolidol provides a broad spectrum of effects, with antiparasitic, antifungal, and antimicrobial properties. In aromatherapy, it is used for relaxing, antispasmodic and harmonizing purposes, but may also act as a stimulant.
